My Latest Obsession

Skinfood 4: my latest obsession. I had been patiently waiting to use up my previous serum, and finally that last pump hit my face. The serum was my last step in the process of slowly converting all of my products to Organic Nation. I now have pretty much the whole collection – I know what I like okay?

I had tried a few of the Organic Nation serums and Skinfood 4 seemed to best fit my skin type. I love the fact that it’s delivering essential skin vitamins: A, B, C and E for my face to soak in every night. Organic Nation’s serums are designed to create a visible change in the skin and this is where the cosmeceutical science comes in! The use of plant stem cell and peptide technology has allowed Organic Nation to stay loyal to their philosophy of working with nature. Each serum has specific ingredients to directly target different skin concerns.

What’s in Skinfood 4?

I love the way this serum feels on my skin. The vitamins are captured in a pure blend of Organic Aloe Vera Gel, leaving a smooth and hydrating feeling upon application. Aloe Vera provides nourishing and absorbent properties that your skin needs to lock in moisture and repair damage.

Encapsulated in algae microsphere, we have Vitamin A. What does that mean? Basically Vitamin A is a plant-based retinol and the encapsulation allows it to absorb into the skin with a time released affect. Welcome to your wrinkle reducing, brown spot fading, roughness smoothing fountain of youth!

My skin tends to be on the oily side and I have found since using this serum that the leftover dots have been totally evened out. I also have less congestion and inflammation than usual. This is thanks to the Vitamin B3 Niacinamide – it boots ceramide production and strengthens the skin’s barrier. In other words, keeping irritants and pollutants out and keeping moisture in.

Now, I may be the “spa baby” here at work but my next birthday marks the age when you need to really start caring for your skin. And yes, I see those lines surely but slowly creeping in! So I do want anti-aging aspects to my new serum. Vitamin C is the wonder-vitamin for rebuilding collagen, and protecting skin from age-causing free radicals (sun damage, pollution and oxygen). Its ability to stimulate collagen production is unmatched, which is one of the best ways to preserve the skin from premature aging.

I’ve learned one of the keys to maintaining healthy skin is to keep it hydrated and moisturized. Enter, Vitamin E: the skincare superstar. This reparative moisturizer has been proven to ease dryness and boost the skin’s UV defense and moisture barrier.

The power of these 4 fundamental skin vitamins will leave your skin feeling firm and you’ll wake up with that luminescent, healthy glow.
